1955 Yellowstone
This little Yellowstone has great 50's lines, and a nearly complete interior, but it needs
complete restoration to be "roadable" again. We're going to remove the entire interior,
rebuild the damaged wall framing, install new wiring, insulation, plumbing and build a
completely custom floorplan. The exterior will (of course) be polished to a mirror shine.
Our client plans to tow the trailer with their VooDoo Blue Toyota FJ - you might see some
blue accents here and there on the exterior. Stay tuned...
A few quick peeks at the present interior and exterior.
The plan. A full bed at the
rear, front dinette, a large
full bath and a compact
galley.
We're under way. The interior is gutted, the frame has been repaired/reinforced,
insulation and wiring going in and the initial polish of the exterior is in process.
Below you'll see the lacquered birch walls installed and wires
everywhere. Just like building a house, we "rough-in" new
110 and 12v circuits before the finished walls go up. Next,
the aluminum ceiling and front/rear walls are installed.
The walls are sheathed in mill-finish (low shine) aluminum
sheet. If it looks a little funky in the pictures below, it is
because it is still wrapped in the protective vinyl covering.
You can also see the floorplan starting to take shape - the
rear bed, bath and dinette are coming together.
