It is not often that we get in a trailer in
this condition.  Very well loved by a
previous owner.  Likely it was garaged,
or at least covered, as the skin is better
than most 80's vintage trailers.  The
interior is a bit tired, and was suffering
from some poor decorating decisions -
namely blue carpet and bright (and I
mean bright) blue walls.

This is not a total restoration, but rather
an update.  New appliances (the
refrigerator was removed previously),
plumbing and electrical repairs, new
window and door seals, new A/C, new
toilet, new floors, lots of paint, a basic
polish job and some TLC and she'll be
ready to roll.

The exterior has already been cleaned
in these photos, and it is ready to head
into the shop for a TrailerWorks
makeover.
A few short weeks later...
I told you the skin was in great shape -
even with just our "basic" one step polish,
it gleams.

New taillights, reconditioned license plate
light and bracket, repaired trunk lock and
the coolest Airstream plaques (we make
our own), complete the picture.
A couple of other angles.
Sorry about the ugly old
temporary LP bottles (for
testing only - no OPDs) -
the Worthingtons were
not in at the time these
pictures were taken.
Ready for a look inside?

The black and white just screams
1950s (OK - its a 61, but you get the
idea).  Hard to tell in this light - but
the stove is pink.  Really pink.  So's
the tub.  You'll see.
The cabinet housing the new
refrigerator/freezer and microwave is new,
and the finish is carefully matched to the
existing woodwork.

The extra loud blue walls have given way to
a much calmer soft grey.

The sink and stove are original and have
been refurbished to work and look like new.
Great black and white floor, huh?
This is our most requested floor
option, and we never get tired of
doing it.  Looks fantastic!
The bed has been rebuilt, and
the storage area underneath
houses the new water heater
and lots of new plumbing.

Plenty of leaks when we started.
Never forget to winterize!
As promised, the pink sink and
tub, reconditioned to like new.
Add to that a new (white - sorry)
toilet, and you have an updated
bath with a retro flair.
Another completed project.  Now it is time
for the new owners to add their own touches
- upholstery, curtains, etc. to complete a
personalized home away from home for
Leo, Kim, daughter Logan and their
four-legged friend Ellie.

This trailer is yet another example of
TrailerWorks' ability to take a solid but tired
Airstream and turn it into something special
at a reasonable price.

We'd be happy to do one for you!
